1. A Catered Affair by Sue Margolis
-Fun chick lit. Easy Read
2. Dirty Little Secrets from Otherwise Perfect Moms by Trisha Ashworth and Amy Nobile
-little funny quotes from moms
3. The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
- Read this with my book club. It was a quick read and a good story. I really enjoyed it.
4. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
- Great book, you won't be able to put it down. I definitely recommend reading this before you see the movie.
5. Perfect Blend by Sue Margolis
- Another good "chick lit" read. I enjoyed this escape from my life...
6. Helicopters, Drill Sargeants, and Consultants: Parenting Styles and the Messages They Send by Jim Fay
- short little book describing different parenting styles...made me think about my parenting style
-informative and thorough
- light, quick read. Written as emails between the main character and others...adds a different touch
- Even though this is considered a teen book it was a good read. The story is very interesting and Lucy Christopher's writing is well done.
Books I have read in 2013
1. Happiness Sold Separately by Lolly Winston
-good read... gets into a lot of the gritiness of what happens in real life 01-17-13
2. Heartburn by Nora Ephron
-quick, easy, fun read. The book is written as if the main character is the author and is writing a story about what has just transpired in her life. She also has "conversations" with you. Enjoyed it. 04-05-13
